The climate crisis is a global issue within reach.
WELL/BEINGS was founded on the belief that environmental issues, as part of a connected ecosystem, have ripple effects and consequences that necessitate holistic solutions for resolution.
Committed to elevating underserved environmental issues that impact the interdependence between all living beings and habitats, due to the global climate crisis.
Our Approach
We fund conservation where it matters most: places where ecosystems, wildlife, and communities are inseparable, and protecting one means protecting all three.
We use a bioregional approach. Rather than funding isolated projects, we support under-resourced, locally-led organizations working across the same ecological region, whether that's a rainforest ecosystem, a mangrove coastline, or a wildlife migratory corridor, so conservation addresses the full picture: the landscape, the species, and the people whose lives depend on it.
We currently work across two bioregions, the Caribbean and the Bolivian Amazon.
Our MISSION
WELL/BEINGS is 501(c)(3) start-up venture philanthropy – disruptive in both mission and approach. Our campaigns elevate underrecognized causes that vitally need support to affect positive change in the world for animals, people and the planet.
Working at the intersection of climate change and animal welfare, our grantmaking is a collaborative process with our on-the-ground local partners as we work to serve their needs and learn from their successes to make the greatest impact.
We believe in coexistence — and in the idea that the wellbeing of ecosystems, animals, and communities cannot be separated. We listen, learn, and invest in locally led conservation, working toward a future where people and nature thrive together through resilient communities and healthy ecosystems.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Healthy ecosystems are essential to the wellbeing of every living thing. WELL/BEINGS partners with trusted organizations around the world to support conservation, animal welfare, and community-led solutions that protect wildlife, restore critical habitats, and strengthen the connection between animals, people, and the planet.
